Vasectomy Ballina - Appointment

What happens during a scalpel free vasectomy?

A Vasectomy is a simple procedure that usually takes between 15 to 30 minutes. A Scalpel Free Vasectomy does not require a general anaesthetic, with the patient able to talk comfortably throughout the procedure.

During a Scalpel Free Vasectomy, after the area is anaesthetised, one or two small punctures (2mm to 3mm in size) are made in the scrotum with fine sharp forceps and each vas deferens is cut or blocked. No stitches are required for this method.

Scalpel-free Vasectomy is a safer and less invasive technique. It reduces the already low complication rate of a conventional vasectomy.
